Schools across the district are recognizing Pink Shirt Day on February 23, 2022.听Students and staff are working together to engage one another and share examples of diversity, dignity and respect.听A few examples happening in schools include:听听
- Wearing pink as a sign of support听
- Recognizing and rewarding kind actions
- Having school and class discussions
- Organizing a 鈥淐ares Challenge鈥
- Singing the song 鈥淥 Siem鈥 to recognize we are better together and kinder together听
- Holding fundraiser activities to support programs that foster children鈥檚 healthy self-esteem
- Creating a school-wide art exhibit by inviting each student to write a message to share with the school community of how they spread care, love, and kindness
